Founded in 1940, Hispania. Revista Española de Historia is a quarterly publication dedicated to the study of societies in medieval, modern and contemporary eras. Its pages are open to including original research in these three broad chronological strata, without limitation as to their specific thematic or geographical scope.
Since 1995, Hispania has been incorporating to some of their numbers, a Monographic Section, commissioned by its Editorial Board addressing Spanish and foreign historians. It also has a wide Bibliographic Section.
